Chikungunya Prevention

What can people do to prevent becoming infected with chikungunya virus?
The best way to prevent chikungunya virus infection is to avoid mosquito bites. There is no vaccine or preventive drug currently available. Prevention tips are similar to those for other viral diseases transmitted by mosquitoes, such as dengue or West Nile:

* Use insect repellent containing DEET, Picaridin, oil of lemon eucalyptus, or IR3535 on exposed skin. Always follow the directions on the package.
* Wear long sleeves and pants (ideally treat clothes with permethrin or another repellent).
* Have secure screens on windows and doors to keep mosquitoes out.
* Get rid of mosquito sources in your yard by emptying standing water from flower pots, buckets and barrels. Change the water in pet dishes and replace the water in bird baths weekly. Drill holes in tire swings so water drains out. Keep children's wading pools empty and on their sides when they aren't being used.
* Additionally, a person with chikungunya fever should limit their exposure to mosquito bites to avoid further spreading the infection. The person should use repellents when outdoors exposed to mosquito bites or stay indoors in areas with screens or under a mosquito net.

I took a HPT on 9 April, it came negative then I took another one on 22April it also negative. my period still has not come.

Early pregnancy symptoms include tender, swollen breasts.

Your breasts may provide one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. As early as two weeks after conception, hormonal changes may make your breasts tender, tingly or sore. Or your breasts may feel fuller and heavier.

However urine HCG test is the standard test.

First of all,thank you for your answer. The Name of the tablet is duinum. Can duinum stop My Period, without pregnenant.

Can it be cause to stop my period.

The Generic name of the drug is clomiphene citrate. It causes to release ova from the ovaries. This increases chances of getting pregnant.

It may cause secondary amenorrhea of undetermined etiology too.

Delayed menstrual cycle

Usually clomiphene citrate doesn't affect the menstrual cycle there are two possibilities: One you are pregnant. Two - delayed menstrual cycle.

What you can do is repeat the Urine hCG test or since you have ?possible pregnancy symptoms, you can do a blood test (serum beta hCG test) which is more sensitive and become positive earlier than the urine test.

I went to my Dr. 01 of May to all my details. Dr. said to me. i my period comes within week or two & take 2 tablets of DUINUM on 05 days. or if my period does not come or my period is abnormal than others, come back for scan.

here is my Questions

01. why did he say to me take 2 tablets on 5 days?

02. Can ovulation occur again after missed period, without starting menses
