Exercise May Generate New Blood Vessels
New research presented at the European Society of Cardiology meeting finds that exercise may provide a spark for the creation of new heart vessels.
A small study found that that patients with serious heart failure who rode a bike for 30 minutes daily over a period of 4 months produced new stem cells in their bones, and more small blood vessels in their muscles, compared to those who did not exercise.
