Peace of Mind and Happiness
In my opinion, the most important objective of the life is to achieve peace and happiness.
After all, thats what we try to do everyday when we feed our senses, isn't it?
How many of us are really fortunate enough to achieve that in our lives?
Competition, lack of time, stress etc etc is blamed for this. We are in an elusive state, "when that thing is done I will be happy".
This has health implications too. worsening of migraine, peptic ulceration, anxiety and other neurotic problems are some of the well known conditions that could get worse by this.
Learning to live a happier life, being contented with what you have, is a skill - a mental skill, that need to be cultivated.
There is no magic pill to bring this state of mind, I am afraid. People have tried drugs/subsances to achieve this state which has resulted in grave consequence of substance abuse.
Differentiating your "needs" from "wants" would be a probable first step. "Plain living and high thinking" is what is in need.
A little something for you to think about....
