What are the safe levels of HDL & LDL Cholesterol? Is there a difference in these levels in developed countries like U.S.A? Can excesssive mental stress cause high LDL Cholesterol & low HDL Cholesterol? I'm a 26 year old single female & I weigh 162.8 lbs, 5'6" tall. High Cholesterol runs in my father's family, can I be under risk at this age? Does having Polysistic Ovary Syndrome increase the risk?

But I dont know which details to check and which brand is good. I need a digital presure checker which gives more detail and accurate info. i am a sri lankan 30 yers old guy and living in Europe country for almost 3 months with a minus temperature( around - 3 ).My problem is my face and body skin is getting very dry after i come here and there are number of red and black colour patches are appearing specially in my hands and hip.Recently i usued some body cream also. Few months ago my brother was busy completing few projects assignments of his degree and for almost a month he just had little nap from 5am to 7am.During that month he had tried all sort of things to keep his self awake.Now what has happened is he doesn't feel asleep all night long and fall asleep around 5am and wake around 11am.Now this has really disturbed his studies .Someday he has tried pills to fall asleep around 11 and yet he has awaken around 11am.What can we do for him now? If we direct him to a doctor which kinda specialist we should consult?

Whenever I get a cough it doesn't go away, a very chest tightening cough stays for a long time. Last year I got a cough that lasted for about 5 months. Again this January I was afffected by the flu & the cough still remains. It's a ver dry flemless cough that becomes worse at night. Rarely i even get feverish chills at night. A blood test was also done last year & again this year, but the results turned out to be normal(a blood count test I guess). I have consulted a phsician so many times & have been on many doses of antibiotics & cough syrups but it comes back again. Please tell me what could be the possible reasons for this, as this has become quite disturbing.

My husband is suffering from migrain from 5 yeras. He got medicines several times from specialised neurologists but there was no result. He did a CT scan also. Doctors told that its perfect. He is suffering from headace in everyday evenings. Please clatrify? Is there any permenent treament for migrane?

I am 57 male.Work in a Bank holding a senior position with a lot pressure on work and being compelled to stick to time frames to complete assignments. A few days ago towards the end of the day's work around 4.30 pm I went to the toilet to ease myself passed a lot of wind which helped me to feel better.I came back to my seat and thereafter I could only feel that I had forgotten all what I have been doing.A junior colleague of mine who was working with me on a report came to see me, but I had forgotten what it was which surprised him. He suggested that I was tensed up and invited me for a stroll in the office work area so that I would feel comfortable.But it did not work.I felt that I had forgotten all what I have been doing. Some of my other colleagues too had gathered around me,whom I recognized but important matters I had forgotten.The situation was gradually becoming normal after about 10 to 15 minutes.Around this time my daughter spoke to me inquiring about the time that I would pick her up after work, I remember this very well.A few minutes later I got myself dropped at home.I received several calls from my colleagues thereafter and I replied all of them and explained the incident in detail to all of them.About an hour later I was going through my Mobile phone to check as to who and who were calling me, then I observed a call been received by me a friend of mine who had a sick brother at 4.35 pm. I did not and even up to the time of writing do not remember him calling me.This call was about twenty minutes before my daughter spoke to me, but a few minutes later or almost around the time I returned to my table from the toilet.Then I immediately called him to check whether he really called me and he told me to my astonishment that he in fact called me to inform about his sick brother's demise. He also told me that when I answered his call I had promised to visit his house later in the evening.All this information I did not and do not sill remember although rest of the incidents I remember well.I visited a nearby Hospital closer my home and consulted an OPD doctor. He checked me physically BP and Random Blood Sugar. BP was 130/70 and RBS was 102.Doctor said this is nothing but stress. I did not have a black out,sweat Chest pain or difficulty to breath etc. Then what is the cause for my momentary change? I do not have any ailment as such except for a slight hypertension for which I am on treatment for the past 20 years. I take 25 mg Zaart tablet twice a day.My blood sugar, lipid etc was within limits for the past so many years with occasional surpasses of the limits. Can you explain. Should I see a consultant Neuro physician/surgeon?

My father is a alcoholic liver disease patient and now he is in the stage of cirrosis. Also he has infection (Jerm) in right side leg (bump & dark) and now its spreding to left side too.
